Our Qualifications

We provide our clients excellent customer service through our experienced team that has 20+ years experience in Big 4 public accounting and industry.  Our team has worked together for 6+ years and has significant experience in bookkeeping, finance, treasury and risk management.

We have experience using many different financial systems including QuickBooks, Timberline, Peachtree, Navision, Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Cognos, Spectrum, Solomon, PeopleSoft and SAP.


Our Team

 Jennifer Hammer
Ms. Jennifer Hammer has over 19 years work experience in public accounting and industry. Ms. Hammer received her Bachelor of Business Administration and her Master’s of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1997 and 1998, respectively. She is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Texas.  She is also a Quickbooks Certified Proadvisor.   

During her career, Ms. Hammer has served as an auditor of companies ranging from billion dollar multi-national companies to small non-profit companies. After joining industry, she has managed all aspects of accounting for both private and publicly held companies. She has experience in the following areas:

  • Internal and external financial reporting
  • Accounting systems implementation, standardization and training
  • Audit preparation and facilitation
  • Documentation and testing of business processes and internal controls
  • Supervise functional accounting areas including General Ledger, Billing and Payroll
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements
  • Accounting for debt, leases and derivatives
  • Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Documentation of policies, procedures and accounting training manuals
  • Audits of oil & gas, oilfield service, non-profit and other service companies

In August 2005, Ms. Hammer joined an environmental services company as an accounting manager where she remained until July 2010. Prior to the environmental services company, Ms. Hammer was employed at a startup company formed to acquire and consolidate electrical contracting service companies. Ms. Hammer started her career at a Big Four accounting firm as an auditor.

Ms. Hammer is married with two children and serves on the Board of Stewards and the Finance Committee for her church.

 Suzanne Nicholie
Ms. Suzanne Nicholie has over 23 years work experience in public accounting and industry. Ms. Nicholie received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University in May 1994. She is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Texas.

During her career, Ms. Nicholie has been responsible for leading an accounting team of 25+ personnel and for managing all aspects of accounting for both private and publicly held companies. She has experience in the following areas:

 

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Accounting systems implementations
  • Audit preparation and facilitation
  • Internal and external financial reporting
  • Implementation and documentation of business processes and internal controls
  • Cash management and forecasting
  • Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Activity based costing
  • Implementation of a document imaging system
  • Supervise all functional accounting areas including Payables, Billing, Fixed Assets, General Ledger & Financial Reporting

In April 2002, Ms. Nicholie joined an environmental services company as an Accounting Manager. She was promoted to Assistant Corporate Controller in April 2003 and to the Corporate Controller in April 2007. Prior to joining the environmental services company, Ms. Nicholie worked for an energy company, an oilfield services company and a Big Four accounting firm.

Ms. Nicholie is married with two children, a member of the AICPA and an active member of her church.

 Jane Watts
Ms. Jane Watts has over 22 years of industry experience, including industries such as deathcare, construction, oilfield services and residuals management. Ms. Watts received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1994 and 1995, respectively.

During her career, Ms. Watts has held entry level to mid-level management positions with both private and publicly held companies ranging in size from $10 million to over $1 billion. She has experience in the following areas:

  • Accounting for acquisitions, including due diligence and integration
  • Goodwill impairment testing
  • Audit preparation and facilitation
  • Accounting for equity based compensation
  • Documentation of policies and procedures
  • Documentation and testing of business processes and internal controls
  • Legal entity accounting projects
  • Internal and external financial reporting
  • Technical research and implementation
  • Supervise functional accounting areas including Payroll and Payables

In August 2004, Ms. Watts joined an environmental services company as an Accounting Manager where she remained until June 2010. Prior to the environmental services company, Ms. Watts worked in various industries including an oilfield services company, a startup company formed to acquire and consolidate roofing companies and a provider of deathcare products and services. 

Ms. Watts is married with two children. She is active in children’s liturgy at her church and serves as a board member of a local PTA.
